  • Glenn Cerny, vice president and chief financial officer at Schoolcraft College, in Michigan, has been appointed president there.
  • DeAnnia Clements, associate vice president for academic affairs at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, has been promoted to vice president for academic affairs there.
  • Tammeil Gilkerson, president of Laney College, in California, has been selected as president of Evergreen Valley College, also in California.
  • Stephen H. Kolison Jr., executive vice president and provost at the University of Indianapolis, has been named president of the State University of New York at Fredonia.
  • Mary Pedersen, interim provost at California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, has been named to serve as the next provost and executive vice president at Colorado State University.
  • Nicole Pride, vice provost for academic strategy and operations at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, has been selected as president of West Virginia State University.

West Virginia State’s Cabinet Asks for President’s Removal

Most members of the cabinet of West Virginia State University president Nicole Pride, in office less than a year, have called for her to be removed, The Charleston Gazette-Mail reported. “Condescending and abusive dialogue are common in exchanges with Dr. Pride,” the cabinet members wrote to the university's board. “Her harassing dialogue and bullying behavior have contributed to a ‘hostile work environment.’ Her executive leadership team has continued to dwindle as a result of a psychologically unsafe and chaotic work environment.” Pride did not return calls seeking a comment.
